Lovely, varied route taking in the River Avon, hills, valleys, historic villages, beaches and the fantastic Burgh Island.

- Tidal Road at Aveton Gifford – Section of road underwater at high tide following the River Avon towards the sea
- Burgh Island – Iconic Art Deco hotel on its own Island cut-off at high hide. Sea Tractor available to get across to island at high tide. Amazing views at the top of the island
- Bigbury-on-Sea Beach – Sandy, family-friendly beach with lifeguards and watersports
- Large village of Modbury with interesting selection of independent shops and galleries

Directions
Ride at low-tide to get the most from this spectacular, memorable tour
1. Left from Business Park to Church. Turn right here, downhill and left to Aveton Gifford
2. At low tide, take the tidal road to Bigbury and then on to Bigbury-on-Sea
3. At high tide, head towards Plymouth and take first left signposted Waterhead to reach Bigbury-on-Sea
4. Use South West Coast Path (push bikes) to reach Challaborough
5. On to Ringmore and then Kingston. Exit Kingston signposted Modbury/Kingsbridge. Left at Wastor Park signed Wastor/Shearlangston. Left fork for Modbury at ruins and ride up Brownston Street.
6. Follow country roads on towards Loddiswell bearing right after passing Modbury Caravan and motorhome site
7. Turn left at the junction, then next right. Follow road all the way in to Aveton Gifford and ride through village
8. Follow same outbound route back to Churchstow and Hire Centre
